Making a difference
It all started when the pandemic forced us to close…
The young staff from The Stone Roses Bar organised a fun quiz and have managed to raise over £1000 for Leeds Minds, with more money still coming in. The staff undertook this challenge as a community based project which they were tasked to create by the nightclubs owner Jacqui Grinion as part of the governments Kickstart scheme.
"The aim of the project was to teach the staff to be community minded and develop their team work skills; giving them real experience to put on their CV's."
They choose to support Leeds Minds due to the number of young people who are struggling with mental health issues and felt that this had increased throughout the COVID pandemic.
I am really impressed with how hard the staff have worked. Young adults making a difference, helping themselves and their communities.
Life is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.
A big thankyou to our supporters!
